Environment
This is a move to help make Uganda green and to have good climate conditions. There are a lot places which has been degradable because of construction, illegal tree cutting, bush fires, poor drinking water, and other bad practice which has made it possible for intense sunshine and no or little rain fall as rain water is the main dependant of most farmers in Uganda. We can achieve a better environmental practice by planting more trees, educating the people about the need to replace and cut down tree, the importance of making Uganda green and

 

Student Exchange Program

 

 Student Exchange Program is in line with cross-culture or intercultural programs for students of different origins for home stays programs, cultural festivals or shows, schooling in Ugandan schools{high schools, Tertiary Institutions, etc}, special programs arranged for that, and other exchange programs for students. Other initiatives of any other student exchanged organizations, schools and students organisation are welcome.

Teaching / Education

 


Destiny's Volunteers also places foreign volunteers in schools for voluntary teaching. The specifics of this placement will be arranged according to you and the school's needs and desires.

On education, materials on the subject area of interest/ course outline will be given to study before volunteers start their teaching and if necessary guidelines from Ugandan teachers in the respective schools will be given.

School categories are Crèches, Nursery, Kindergarten, Orphanage, Primary, Vocational, Technical, Junior and Senior High Schools. Teaching areas depend on the type of school/ institution (Mathematics, English, Science, Social Studies, Geography, Economics, and Caring: includes Playing with the Kids, Kitchen, Farm, Writing, Drawing, Painting, Cooking, Agriculture and much more).

 AGRICULTURE/FARM

 


teaching local farmers on modernize/technological farm practice to increase their out put, helping on farm to harvest or planting of crops, fruits, vegetables and more, help in farm management etc.

Culture Exchange programs

 


Our aim is to help promote cultures of different nation, work & travels and to achieve world peace. There are a lot of cultural programs organize throughout the year. Individuals or groups may arrange to learn Ugandan-African rich drumming and dancing. Our cultural troops can be invited for ceremonies, competitions or to perform for fundraising. We welcome nationals from all over the globe in this cultural program.

Construction
Construction by volunteers may be in the form of School building, clinics/hospitals, community social center, toilets, workers accommodation in the deprived communities, painting and other approve construction projects of the local authorities in the deprived communities.

Health
Each volunteering project specifically on health will begin with 1-2 days introductory course to make sure all volunteers have basic training in the health matters to be covered especially volunteers without any health education background.

Our dedicated partners at regional health offices will help formulate the main Environment and Conservation issues threatening the deprived communities for the betterment and reassurance of our environment just to mention a few.

ORPHANAGE WORK
Still with strong links with Secondary and Primary Schools Plus Tertiary Institutions the largest and premier University of Uganda, from where most Ugandan Volunteers come from, other tertiary institutions and non-students. We welcome any foreign volunteers whether on gap year, cultural exchange, research, holidays or a break from work, on visit to Africa, West Africa specifically Uganda or any form of volunteering, whether medics or not, teaching experience or not, we will give you all the necessary training for you to save lives, teach in the deprived communities, student exchange, solve environmental problems, volunteer in construction, cultural exchange programs, agriculture/farm and others for the well-being of the deprived communities in Uganda.

 

 Research
This may be in the form of individual student research on his/her final year projects or institutional research. We will provide for you a dedicated Ugandan research assistance to help in your project in any part of Uganda depending on the type of research to make it a success.
